A global pandemic ushered in a heightened appreciation of individuals in service industries, positions which are held primarily by Black and LatinX people, including those from migrant communities. From health workers to farm workers, these roles were critical to our survival. As we continue to navigate the nuances of COVID-19’s ebbs and flows, it’s time to focus on potential solutions essential for our sustainability, especially in our rural communities. Georgia CEAL brought together leaders from the medical, health, and farming and immigrant communities to discuss critical issues and potential solutions.
