Georgia CEAL Ambassador Training #2: Storytelling For Healthy Change

Inspired by the important role of trusted messengers in traditional African and Indigenous cultures, “Storytelling For Healthy Change” will explore the use of peer ambassadorship & cultural engagement to inspire healthy, sustainable, and just change in socially vulnerable communities of color. During this training, participants will:

– Gain insight into the role of identity, culture, and storytelling in driving changes in attitudes, behavior.

– Learn how to use Counter Narrative Messaging Strategies for health literacy communications that remove key barriers to COVID-19 vaccination, and drive vaccine uptake among parents, caregivers & children.

– Learn best practices for engaging in 1-on-1 conversations, and the key steps to creating storytelling content for social media that address the unique needs of parents and caregivers along their journeys to vaccination.
